Mr. Lim Korean BBQ Restaurant, Desa Sri Hartamas

Every time after watching the Running Man and 2 Days 1 Night, famous Korean game show, the eager to eat Korean Food arrived. Frankly speaking, there were lots of Korean restaurants nowadays. Read that there were lots of good views on 'Mr. Lim Korean BBQ Restaurant, Desa Sri Hartamas' and we decided to have our lunch there on last Sunday. Reached about 1pm and the restaurant is about half full...

Like others Korean BBQ restaurant, they served dishes of small portion side dish but this restaurant served 9 dished included the steam egg below which my little boy loved so much.

This is one of my favorite Korean food, Seafood with Soft Tofu Soup. Lots of small shrimp too. The taste is marvelous, strong aroma from bean paste (RM29.00)

The pork belly was amazing. I’m always worry it could be overdone hence causing the belly strips being hard to chew. But here, lightly salted and chewy made the barbequed meat a great wrap in the lettuce. Since we have small kid with us, so the restaurant waitress is good enough they do it for us.

The chicken meat is good too,  tender and nice to chew just like that.

This restaurant is located at:-

5G Jalan 26A/70A Primaville,
Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur

Restaurant Yap Beng Bakuteh, Klang

When you think of Bakuteh, of course you'll think of the famous Klang Bakuteh. But there's a lot Bakuteh restaurants in Klang, so which one to choose? After reading on net and also asking friends from Klang, they recommended us to try out Yap Beng Bakuteh. It took about 45 minutes drive from KL to Klang. Located at Jalan Mesra, it is quite easy to locate this restaurant..
Looks a bit 'chiplak' from outside but inside looks brand new

My poor little boy waiting for the Bakuteh to be serve...

Something new, dry Bakuteh RM 18.00  per pot.  Added the Chili Kering & Lady Fingers, the pork belly tasted so tender and chewy.

I loved soup and gravy. The fragrance and taste from the herbs so strong. The soup is not too thick or not too cair, just ngam ngam. We even ask them to refill few times. Paiseh! The pork belly are soft and melted just in your mouth. I like the 'tauki' too. Just sad that my kiddos finished the "Yeow Char Kuai" and the restaurant are out of stock too..RM9.00 per pax.

This dish is highly recommended by the chef, Fried Shark Flesh RM 14.00. All of us like this dish. The mixture of soy souce and some herbs, i presume, really opens up our appetites. An additional of  lady fingers and onions makes the dish more yummy.

My another prince..waiting us to open the can drink..
Overall, we enjoyed the meal here. For those that staying in Seri Kembangan, good news, there is another branch there.

Mr. BBQ, Taiping

We are on the way to Bukit Merah, Laketown, Taiping for our next holiday trip when we make de-tour to Taiping town for quick lunch. Heard that the foods at the Restaurant Mr. BBQ is quite good and the price are quite reasonable.
Located at Jalan Maharajalela, the Restaurant have a BIG signage and it makes us easy to locate
Written clearly on the Door Entrance the Business Hours
The Restaurant's table & chairs, it is quite empty when we touch down about 12.30pm
King Pork (S-RM9.00). Yummy, with the sweet sour sauce, yummy to eat with white rice.

Bean Curd with Crab Stick (S- RM 9.00). Not really enjoy this dish. Have to eat fast or it turn watery and a bit "geli" when it turned cold.

Fried Squid (S - RM 15.00). Also can try out their Kam Heong Squid, mentioned by the waitress "Ho Chiak"

Steam Kurau Fish (RM 23.00). Price base on the fish Gm..a bit expensive but it's yummy
Fresh Juices (RM 2.50).
Overall, we are quite happy with this Restaurant. Clean & service is efficient, only thing we don't really understand the Hokkien language they use, more to Penang style..Hehe. But don't worry, they will intro others waitress can speak 'your' language (Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, English..others langauge, NOT SURE).

Prices are around RM 8.00 onward. Understand their BBQ dishes are quite nice but we don't have change to try as our kid's don't eat spicy food. Sure will try out if we have another chance.

Beggar Chicken, Restaurant Bukit Jugra, Banting

Eating here is a pre-arranged affair. The Bukit Jugra Beggar’s Chicken Restaurant absolutely does not entertain walk-ins. You have to order your dishes at least 3 days in advance. The restaurant is quite deep inside from the Banting town but you can easily get the way there by just asking the people around the area..

The restaurant is also selling local tidbits - Kerepek

The traditional glutinous rice is one of the specialty food there . The aroma and textures of the traditional rice is cooked with mushroom, dried oyster and dried shrimp.

The famous dish, beggar chicken.  The aroma from the Chinese herbs like Dang Kuai, Kei Chi, Red Dates are so strong when we unwrapped the chicken. The textures of the chicken is so tender and soft.

Is only 3 adults and 3 kids, so we don't really order much . But not every dish is available. Other than beggar’s chicken, their specialty includes beggar’s duck, beggar’s pig leg, beggar’s stomach, beggar’s mutton, and fish cake. Hope that can try other dish in future...

Golden Sea Restaurant, Gold Coast Morib, Banting

It was one sunny afternoon when we reach Morib. Since we can only check-in the Gold Coast Morib Resort at 3pm, we then had our lunch at this restaurant. It is not even 5 minutes drive from the resort. The restaurant space are quite big and very near to the sea. We ordered few highly recommended dishes from the chef..
Kam Heong Razor Clams - The clams are quite fresh and we like the curry gravy taste.

White wine Clam (Ask the chef not to put too much wine if you don't really like the white wine taste, is a bit too strong)

Mantis with Salted Egg - Thumbs up for this dish. The aroma from curry leave and taste of salted egg really opens up our appetite.

Steam Fish - The fish is also fresh
Mixed Vege with Bean Curt - We enjoyed eating this dish too. The gravy is not too salty and suitable for elderly to eat as well

Overall, we are very happy with this restaurant and worth trying. We will definitely re-visit another time..
