Ah Sang Bakuteh, Sungai Way

It has been almost 29 years ago when this Ipoh mari opened this Bakuteh restaurant. It was about eight years ago when I first visited to this Bakuteh restaurant with a bunch of my office mates. It was pack with people then as it is the lunch time. We waited not too long to have a table as the service was fast. Eight years later, I revisit this place with my family. It was about 9.30am when we reached and not many people then.

The restaurant entrance

They only have the soup Bakuteh. We ordered all-in (taufu pok, inoki mushroom, pork meat, pork ribs, pork intestine and vege). The strong aroma of the broth were covered around in the restaurant. They were generous enough to give us an extra 2 bowls of soup without we ask for it. The soup is not sticky type. I can't really recall what is the taste like eight years ago BUT the taste now is a bit sweet and there is a strong Chinese herbs in it...Overall Not too bad.

The 'Yau Char Kuey' is an additional side dishes that you MUST have. It is a bit crispy at outside and puffy in inside. So when you soak it in the broth .. it makes the test perfect. We manage to ordered double this time compare to last time, no stock..

They served Yau Fan Or white rice. If you are lucky enough, try to eat with the Yau Fan. As it is always sold out very fast.

It costs us about RM40+ plus the drinks. Not that expensive...

How to get there...it is quite easy to find. It is opposite the Indian Temple or the Full address as below. Happy trying.
